Mission Statement

The purpose of the Clinton Greenway Conservation Trust is to preserve the natural landscape, ecological diversity, and scenic beauty of the Town of Clinton by protecting open space and by conserving it for public enjoyment and appreciation of nature.

Goals

1. Practice conservation through stewardship, acquisition of title, conservation easements, and encouraging other conservation restrictions.
2. Facilitate public access to conserved spaces.
3. Practice land stewardship for conserved spaces.
4. Advocate for conservation land-use planning.
5. Work with other land trusts, government agencies, watershed associations, educational institutions, and other organizations with similar interests.

How We Have Made a Difference

• South Meadow Pond Conservation Area
• Mossy Pond parcel - Town of Clinton allowed additional conservation restrictions on town owned Wekepeke Reservoir in exchange for purchase of Mossy Pond parcel for open space.
